Stage 5 : Arras-Amiens (189.5 km) on July 8th, 2015
Dreary conditions awaited the riders at the start of stage 5, with wind and rain a constant companion throughout the 189.5 km from Arras to Amiens.

The weather conditions were particularly difficult. On slippery roads, crashes were many and involved riders of the calibre of green jersey holder Andre Greipel, French sprinter Bryan Coquard, Belgium’s Greg Van Avermaet and Trek Factory leader Bauke Mollema of the Netherlands. Luckily, all escaped unhurt.
