Bercy Supercross relocated to Pierre Mauroy Stadium near Lille
The 2014 Supercross was held in the grounds of the Pierre Mauroy Stadium, in Villeneuve d’Ascq, on November 15 and 16 as Bercy is in renovation and couldn’t host the main European SX event.
Despite the move to a new venue, this event was a real success as 43,000 spectators came to the Pierre Mauroy Stadium to watch some of the best supercross racers in the world.
The stadium was full and noisy to enjoy a great show.
This year’s track was bigger than the one held in the Bercy Arena.
American Eli Tomac will probably remember forever his first visit in North of France, as he won everything at the Paris-Lille Supercross to become the first ‘King of Paris-Lille’. The Americans dominated the event as Justin Barcia and Malcolm Stewart finished second and third, to also claim the team’s win.
