What is France famous for?
France is famous for multiple reasons!
France has always attracted many people for its various climates and reliefs (mountains, splendid maritime coasts, forests…), for its culture (12,000 historical monuments, more than 1200 museums, including the biggest in the world: the Louvre museum, and many historical cities). France is also famous for its refined cuisine, and Historical past (Gallo-Roman origins, many sites badly damaged by WWI and WWII). But France is also a highly geological country with its dormant volcanoes (especially in the Auvergne region) that attract many tourists and scientists from all over the world.

France is also famous for its quality products such as wine, cheese, perfume, and flower industry.
Many people believe that French people enjoy eating dishes made of snails or frog legs…this is a big stereotype! I am French and I have never eaten such dishes! And I don’t know anybody around me who would feel attracted towards them! I think this stereotype comes from the fact that one day, a very prestigious French restaurant decided to cook snails and frog legs…people have a tendency to generalize very fast!
